“The mini bus transport was clean and comfortable, our tour guide TTUHLALA was brilliant, she kept us entertained and informed even though we were the only British couple on the tour. We made a short trip to Santo Dumont's house 8 reals entrance fee where a video explained the inventors life. We then had a buffet meal 40 reals good food and value. “La guía, Marilia, se perdió al llevarnos de un punto a otro. No explicaba los lugares de visita, siempre nos estaba apurando a pesar del tiempo que perdió al perderse entre las calles. El transporte casi nos deja al final del recorrido ya que como eran dos tours en el mismo transporte parecía que estábamos ligados al segundo tour. No fue una experiencia agradable. Por lo que no lo recomiendo.”

The Bohemia Brewery may be replaced by the Wax Museum when closed.

“Liked Imperial Palace visit and Santos Dumont House (optional). Crystal Palace was a dull and I didn't like a 30 minute stop at a motorway café or long visit to chocolate shop. Fixing pick up place was really bad. Place and time were changed but the guide wasn't told... Guide remained very calm with people who were late. Not easy when such a big group. I had the worst seat on the bus, next to the guide. Large sticker on the window blocked a lot of the beauty views. As with all trips I've done in Rio, I wish there was a central pickup point rather than 2 hours driving…”

“I enjoyed visiting Petropolis and would recommend it. The scenery on the way is spectacular. The driver was punctual though pick-up arrangements and start time were changed at short notice. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and communicated well. The vehicle was not one that I would choose to travel even a short distance in. It seemed to have some difficulty with the steep roads, but it did have air conditioning. For the fee I was charged I expected a modern comfortable vehicle.”

A licensed guide and transport are included, with exhibitions, nurseries, forest trails, and a sunset from the observation tower. Guides may speak English, Spanish, French, or German. Garden admission, food, and drinks cost extra.

“The museum itself was great and definitely worth the visit, however the price for this tour is not justified and frankly misleading. I paid a $110 Canadian dollars for 3 people (so a total of $330) for just an uber. Entry fee was not included in this so that was another $50 for 3 people. The tour says there is a guide that's provided and while the guide was knowledgeable in local flora, it's not the same guide that lets you explore hidden/special trails, which is what the tour made it sound like. If you want explore the hidden trails, you have to pay more. Everyone else on the main…”
